In the early 1990s, the late Ruud Marinus, a native Amsterdammer, relocated to Maastricht, where he fell in love—with both the city and a local woman. As a real estate entrepreneur, he established his roots here, choosing to focus on the exclusive South Limburg real estate market. Yet, his company was founded on a deeper philosophy: that buying or selling a home is among the most significant decisions in life.

Through the Years

Since the founding of Marinus & Partners, much has evolved—and yet, much has stayed the same. Beginning in 2006, Ruud Marinus imparted his expertise to Jan Joost Schols, who soon became an integral part of the firm. In 2010, Roger Henquet joined the team, further enriching our expertise. When Ruud retired in 2012, he left a legacy of knowledge and wisdom that endures today. Although he passed away unexpectedly in 2013, his values and life philosophy remain at the heart of our company.
